Beast Pistol

An obsessive focus for the first month of 2010 has paid off, and I have hit a pistol on both legs with the 48 kg.
This is not as strict as I would like, but I hit below parallel so I'll take it. Now that I've overcome the mental hurdle and know what I need to work on I think I'll get a more strict version of this within the month. It wasn't really all that hard on my legs, more so on my ability to just hold on to the bell. I'm most impresses with my ability to keep my extended foot off the ground. All of my flexibility work is paying off.

  2. Awesome! At least now you know you can do it, and like you said, just solidify the form. How are you doing on the other two challenges?

    Neghar, I am not even close on the other two. I can press the 36 kg. and on a good day pull up the 28 kg. I know a big part is how much attention I pay to my technique and the finer points of the lift. Next I am obsessing over the press. I tend to think it will go pistol, press, pull up.

  4. I have a feeling it will go in the same order for me as well. I've gotten the pistol a few times-needs to be solidified! I am close to the press-20x3, so 24x1 can't be TOO far off. But the pullup-oh man the pullup. What a bitch, huh? Best of luck to you, I totally believe you can do it.
