A grade 5 bolt down... mostly.

I've take a couple runs at this and been stopped cold both times. This time I managed to get a good bend in it. The only reason I didn't finish it off is that I was having some confusion trying to figure out how to do so. I think I've got it figured out, so the next one will be better. In retrospect I probably should have done the grade 2 first.
This was much, much harder than the yellow or blue nail.
I'm going to start working more on my shoulder flexibility, and getting the nail up higher under the chin. I've been watching a lot of videos of Red Nail certs, and this seems to be a common theme. Can't hurt.

I did notice in the video you made the day earlier, bending the blue nails, you were listening to a Josie and the Pussycats song. ;) The song is perhaps the missing element to kill this level 5. or maybe a hot cheerleader.

  2. Your positioning is weird. Why are you crushing the bar so low? Get those hands up at collar bone level

I would like to see you keep working your DU as well Jordan, it will make you much stronger.

  3. You're right, I'm weird.
I've been working some shoulder dislocations and such to increase my shoulder flexibility. It's better now, so I think I have to re-train myself to stop starting so low. Working the other styles as well is good advice.
